The Chevy Malibu isn't a main stream car on today's market. Although it is a car that can be modified and enhanced to look better with aftermarket accessories such as body kits. From 1997-2003 this style lacked the class and style that the newer 2004-2007 models sort of have today. Both still could use a little auto restyling to give it its full ability obtained by body kits.

There are lots of different types of body kits that could be chosen for your car, but your kits are all going to depend on the look you are going for. This car is in the mid sized class of sedans and isn't geared toward the race style design of most body kits. Although you can choose to make it as such if you desire, or just give it the luxury look with a lower bumper with mesh grills.

The materials you choose are also vital in the longevity of your body kits. Fiberglass can be the least expensive material for body kits and most economical, but can also be the most fragile if in the wrong conditions. Fiberglass body kits can be repaired if damaged with fiberglass repair kits. Remember if you have to repair a portion of your fiberglass body kits, you will have to repaint the area as well resulting in greater repair expenses. Other materials can't be repaired as easily or if at all. Urethane body kits are the more durable flexible material on the market. These body kits are able to withstand more abuse and curb contact. If you plan to be hard on your body kits, you might want to consider urethane right away. Although urethane body kits will cost you more out of the gate, you will not have to worry about those costly repairs as you would with fiberglass.

Make sure you know what you are doing if you plan to install your body kits yourself. Most kits will come with installation instructions and can be completed by most any handy person, you just need to be away of the possibility of damaging your kits. If you have a pro install your kits for you, you can be confident it will be done right.
