First things first though, you need to decide what your ultimate goal is when installing body kits. Is it to make your car look hot, or to enhance the performance of your car. You can achieve both with body kits, but some will do more than the other. Durability is also a big factor with body kits. Fiberglass materials are cheaper, yet more fragile. When choosing fiberglass body kits you can go with some brands like Veilside or Buddy Club that manufacture some of the best fiberglass body kits. Urethane body kits are a little more durable, flexible, and impact resistant. Sometimes it can be harder to get paint to adhere to urethane, but if prepped well you should be fine. Carbon Fiber is a material for body kits and other parts as well. Carbon fiber is used primarily for its light weight features and durable materials. Carbon fiber can be pretty expensive, but looks fantastic on any car.

Body kits do more than make your car look hot. They also add performance enhancing aspects as well. If you like to drive fast then body kits will help keep your car on the road. The reason for this is that ground effects will create down force that presses your car to the road improving your traction and ability to control the car. Reducing the amount of air that flows under your car eliminates the lift and generates the downward energy.

After determining what you want from your body kit, then you need to figure out how you're going to get it installed on your vehicle.
