The ability to see what is going on around you is very important for your safety and the safety of the people around you. Automotive mirrors give you that ability. There are you two common mirrors but both containing many styles.
Rear view mirrors are the most important of all giving you a view directly behind your vehicle. This mirror helps you with knowing who or what is directly behind your car. There are not too many styles of these mirrors but there are a few. Your standard rear view mirrors are generally very basic and just give you a look behind. Some more advanced rear view mirrors have the ability to reduce lighting when bright headlights shine in. Other mirrors have lighting, Bluetooth capability, or Onstar. Usually you can get lighting and Onstar with your factory mirrors. Bluetooth capabilities are generally all aftermarket mirrors. With Bluetooth allow you to use your cell phone hands free to drive more safely and keep your both hands on the steering wheel.
The other types for your car are the side mirrors. Your side mirrors are almost as important as your rear view. They allow you to see what is along the side of your vehicle, or to see what might be behind you and off to the side. Your car should have side mirrors on both the passenger side and the driver's side.
Side mirrors or M3 mirrors can come in many shapes sizes and styles. Aerodynamics can be important if you plan to drive at high speeds and want to reduce the drag of your car. Flat side mirrors can affect your aerodynamics and produce more drag effecting your speed, and fuel mileage. A lot of these aftermarket designs are made with carbon fiber and are designed with performance in mind.
